In partnership with Karen Viegas, we utilized a compact 75-square-meter space to craft a design that aimed to inspire with simplicity, ecology, and aesthetic appeal, steering clear of expensive branded objects. The mission was to showcase the affordability and beauty of interior decorating
To do this, I carefully selected local designers and artisans, opting for custom fabrics that gave the space a personal touch. One of the key elements was the use of pallets, which not only provided an economical solution, but also contributed to the sustainable spirit of the project. Additionally, a playful color scheme has been incorporated to infuse a sense of joy and vitality into the occupants’ daily lives. As a delightful touch, I included a new retro-style fridge that added a touch of nostalgia.
Initially, the entrepreneur expressed doubts about this unconventional approach to scenography. However, the unexpected happened during the opening. Units sold at a much faster pace than anticipated, surprising everyone involved. It was gratifying to witness how our unconventional design choices resonated with people, helping them find a place to live and a home they truly loved.
This project was a testament to the transformative power of Design. It demonstrated that, by thinking outside the box and embracing unconventional ideas, we can create spaces that not only exceed expectations, but also improve the lives of those who inhabit them. I am proud to have been a part of this journey and look forward to continuing to create unique and inspiring designs that have a positive impact on people’s lives, as well as motivating the business owner who has been pleased with the rapid sale of apartments.
