While renovating this expansive store in São Paulo, I aimed to create an inviting atmosphere for shoppers from near and far. Situated amidst the bustling streets, I sought to infuse the space with a relaxed ambience, considering the limited green areas nearby. I introduced a captivating vertical garden to address this, enhancing the site’s overall breathability and natural appeal.
The coffee shop, reflecting the store’s philosophy, was transformed into a cosy waiting area that echoed the welcoming ambience. A pivotal addition to this renovation was the retractable skylight, which flooded the interior with natural light and offered shelter during rainy days.
This transformation turned the commercial building into a sustainable haven, radiating joy and fostering a deep connection with nature. The vertical garden not only brought the outdoors inside but also contributed to the well-being of all who stepped into the space. The project is a testament to sustainable design’s profound impact, prioritizing aesthetics and visitor comfort in commercial settings.
